However, before the trauma center’s official inauguration, a crisis unfolds when a North Korean ship drifts into South Korean waters. On board, several patients are in critical condition and require urgent medical attention. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Kim Sabu and his team swiftly mobilize, flying out to the ship to provide life-saving aid. The challenge now lies in safely transporting the patients back to Doldham Hospital for further treatment.
Complicating matters, the South Korean government, aiming to maintain smooth diplomatic relations with their neighboring country, insists on repatriating the North Korean patients. This clash of interests between the government and the medical team adds an intense layer of tension and moral dilemmas to the unfolding events.
Amidst this chaotic situation, a surprising development arises as Cha Jin-Man (Lee Kyoung-Young) arrives at Doldham Hospital, brought in by Park Min-Guck (Kim Joo-Hun), with the intention of overseeing the new trauma center. Notably, Cha Jin-Man happens to be both the father of Cha Eun-Jae (Lee Sung-Kyung) and an old rival of Kim Sabu, setting the stage for personal and professional conflicts that will test the characters’ resolve and ability to work together.
As the lives of the patients hang in the balance, the medical team at Doldham Hospital must navigate the complexities of international politics, personal vendettas, and the challenges of delivering exceptional medical care.
